Jovan Nicholson : Winifred Nicholson – Liberation of Colour

Sunday 7th May, 12:00pm - 1:00pm

Prior’s Hall, Hexham Abbey

The artist Winifred Nicholson is best known for her intense, intimate paintings of her surroundings, especially the Cumbrian landscape where she lived for many years. When she was given a prism by a physicist friend in the 1970’s it radically changed the direction of work taking it from realism to art bordering on abstraction. The author, art historian Jovan Nicholson, is the grandson of the artists Ben and Winifred Nicholson.

Due to high demand the venue has changed to The Prior’s Hall, Hexham Abbey.

This event has now sold out.
