Elizabeth Jane Howard – A Dangerous Innocence

Best known for her books ‘The Cazalet Chronicles’, Elizabeth Jane Howard was in the spotlight for her love affairs as much as her writing. She was a shrewd observer of love, marriage and the hidden currents of family life which she documented in her 14 novels. Her own life was as emotionally charged as her books, with a string of affairs with high-profile writers placing her at the heart of 1960‘s literary life.

Chaired by Caroline Beck.
